CHOWDA DAY ! I look forward to this every year. The New England Clam Chowder is the best and you can't beat the price.

This is my first time at Legal Sea Foods in VA. I live in Boston, so I wanted to try this new location outside of the northeast. We really enjoyed ourselves! The restaurant was clean, and the service was pretty good. The bartender was a bit slow with our drinks, especially considering that the restaurant was pretty empty, but otherwise, we really enjoyed the restaurant. This is one of my favorite restaurants because of all of the gluten free options, and this location didn't disappoint. The gluten free rolls are some of the best I've had at any restaurant and are super soft and served warm. The calamari is gluten free and tasted fresh and wasn't oily. The gluten free lobster roll was also really good. The gluten free sandwich bun was super soft. I don't think 2 separate sets of buns were needed for the amount of lobster provided, so I put all of the lobster on one bun, and it was perfect. My boyfriend also enjoyed the salmon. I definitely recommend this location and restaurant, especially if you need gluten free food options!

We stopped in for lunch! I was craving their lobster roll. It's so buttery and warm. For $25, you can get a petit lobster roll, fries, cole slaw and lobster bisque or clam chowder. My husband ordered the shrimp tempura sushi. Jeremy was a great server and we spent some time talking to the manager, Thomas, who's also a pleasure. The ambiance is nice. The bar is stocked and the restaurant is laid out with round private table options, outside seating and a bar area. The music is also nice and island-y. You should go!

I've seen so so reviewsbut we decided to try it anyway. The restaurant is open, comfy, and clean. We had a reservation and the friendly hostess seated us immediately. Service was excellent and timely! There happened to be a surplus of lobster after National Lobster Day so we took advantage of the $20 discounts on all lobster entrees. Hubby ordered side salad and lobster Mac and cheese. I ordered steamed lobster and whipped potatoes and roasted broccoli. Both entrees came in a timely manner both were beautiful and plentiful. I'm the end, we almost licked our plates clean! The Mac and cheese was perfectly cooked. It came poured over a cracked steamed whole lobster. It was delicious! Mine was just as delicious. Whipped potatoes were fluffy and flavorful while the broccoli was al dente and very tasty. We will come again!!! So good!!!

The place is spacious with a laidback but with a hint of elegant flair. The host suggested that I sit at the bar while I waited for the rest of my party. The bartender was attentive and friendly. While weren't able to make my specific drink, the bartender made a substitute that was okay. The food was delicious and the service prompt. The manager stopped by our table to make sure we had a good experience and get our feedback on the service provided. The calamari was fried perfectly and melted in your mouth. The colossal shrimp was okay, nothing fancy or memorable about them. I didn't try the spicy roll but heard it was good and my steak was cooked perfectly with no complaints. Overall great experience and I would return to try some other menu options.
